Pengaruh Penggunaan Model Pembelajaran Game Based Learning dan Kemampuan Komunikasi Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas X SMAN 9 Kota Jambi

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the implementation of the Game-Based Learning model and communication skills on students’ learning outcomes. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method. The research sample consisted of two classes: an experimental class (using the Game-Based Learning model) and a control class (using a conventional learning model), with 35 students in each class. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and learning outcome tests. The data were analyzed using a two-way ANOVA test. The results revealed a significant effect of the Game-Based Learning model and communication skills on students’ learning outcomes. The calculated F-value was 303.672 with a significance level of 0.000, which is lower than 0.05; therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected. It can be concluded that the implementation of the Game-Based Learning model and communication skills have a positive and significant effect on students’ learning outcomes. This model can serve as an alternative approach to create a more engaging learning environment, enhance student participation, and improve academic achievement, particularly in Economics subjects
