Pengaruh Literasi Keuangan, Kontrol Diri dan Teman Sebaya Terhadap Perilaku Menabung Siswa

Abstract

Low saving behavior among students indicates that financial management from an early age has not been optimal. In addition, previous studies have shown inconsistent findings regarding the influence of peer groups on saving behavior, creating a research gap that requires further investigation. This study aims to determine the effect of financial literacy, self-control, and peer groups on students’ saving behavior. The research employed a survey method with an associative research design. The population consisted of 10th-grade students at SMA Negeri 9 Tasikmalaya, with a sample of 191 students selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that financial literacy and self-control had a positive and significant effect on students’ saving behavior. Meanwhile, peer groups did not have a significant effect on saving behavior. Simultaneously, financial literacy, self-control, and peer groups influenced saving behavior, with financial literacy and self-control providing the most dominant contribution.
